Cafe/Chef Manager - Mount Maunganui

Monday – Friday (6am – 2.30pm)

We are on the hunt for an experienced chef, or café all-rounder who can take our cafeteria located at the Ballance Agri-nutrients site in Mount Maunganui to the next level. You will be hands-on in the cafe actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of food, as well as the day-to-day running of the cafe.

Think tasty, wholesome meals, cabinet food and sweet treats … with the support of a catering assistant you will be responsible for making our customers smile and keep them coming back for more.

This position requires a chef with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience, who can:
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisine
• Monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Adapt menus to cater for a varied clientele and dietary requirements
• Manage food and labour costs within budget
• Discuss food preparation issues with managers and cafe staff
• Implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
• Demonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
• Show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude

This position is Monday – Friday (6am – 2.30pm) with weekends and public holidays free to enjoy with friends and family.
