Kitchen Assistant – Aged Care Kitchen, Newtown, Wellington

40 hours per week (as rostered Monday to Sunday)

We have an opportunity for a reliable and energetic individual with a friendly can-do attitude to join our kitchen team at Te Hopai Home and Hospital where we serve over 900 meals every day to the 150 residents. Come and help us deliver the best food service in the industry!

The ideal candidate will:
- support our talented chefs by keeping the kitchen clean and doing dishes.
- have an interest in developing their cooking and baking skills.
- be able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude.
- be resilient and able to work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred in order to hit the ground running, but training will be given to someone who possesses the right attitude and motivation.
