Jago Town is an indoor playground opening soon in Te Awa Mall, at The Base, and promises a fun filled experience for children and families to relax and celebrate. Open 7 days a week, this brand new state of the art playground will cater for ages 2-10 years, and with an onsite café, party and function rooms, it will provide a venue for the whole family to enjoy together.

The Playground assistant will provide a front of house service for the café and playground, maintaining clean, tidy and safe facilities at all times. A large portion of the role will involve clearing of tables and party rooms and keeping the facilities clean and tidy. Whilst children are required to be supervised by an adult, you will be responsible for monitoring playground activity to ensure safe and hazard free environment and alerting caregivers of any behaviour that poses a risk to users. Guaranteed to keep you on your toes, there will never be a dull moment!

We are seeking passionate and responsible people who can:

clear and wipe tables in public café, playground, and party rooms,
keep facilities clean and tidy, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms and playground equipment as required,
monitor playground activity to ensure safety of all users,
confidently deal with difficult situations, ensuring excellent customer service,
work hard as a reliable and loyal team player who can stay cool under pressure,
utilise great communication skills and a can-do attitude
be flexible to assist with kitchen and café duties when required
We have part time positions available working fixed shifts between Monday and Sunday, with a variety of hours between 10am and 7pm. Must be able to work weekends. Flexibility to work additional hours as required to cover leave and private functions would be an advantage.
