Casual Catering Assistant – Griffins Papakura, Auckland

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Catering Assistant to join our team and help deliver a great food experience to our customers.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll support the café team with food preparation, customer service, serving meals, stocking cabinets, operating the till, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

About the Role:
As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will assist with:
• Food preparation and presentation
• Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
• Preparing sandwiches, wraps, salads, and cabinet food
• Assisting with meal service and café operations
• Operating the POS system and handling transactions
• Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Cleaning and ensuring the café remains tidy and well-presented
• Supporting the team wherever needed

We're looking for someone who:
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Enjoys working with people and providing great customer service
• Has a genuine interest in food and hospitality
• Is reliable, flexible, and willing to help where needed
• Communicates confidently and professionally
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Previous hospitality or café experience is an advantage, but not essential
