Casual Catering Assistants – Trinity Schools, Masterton

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Casual Catering Assistants to support our catering teams across the Trinity Schools in Masterton (Rathkeale College, St Matthew’s, and Hadlow School).

This is a casual role, ideal for people who enjoy hands on kitchen work and flexibility, supporting busy school environments during term time, school holidays, and venue hire functions. You’ll be working as part of a friendly catering team, assisting with day to day kitchen operations and service. Hours will vary based on operational needs.

Typical shifts may include:
• 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 11:00am – 7:30pm
• Shifts across 7 days, including weekends
• Additional hours may be available for venue hire functions and during school holidays

What you’ll do
• Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Serve meals and provide friendly customer service
• Wash dishes and keep kitchen and service areas clean and tidy
• Assist with stock handling and deliveries
• Support catering for school events and functions

About you
• Some hands on kitchen or food service experience preferred
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Confident communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Flexible and reliable, with availability across varying shifts
• A positive, team focused attitude
