Casual Cook - Hastings

To work shifts as and when required - Monday to Friday

Cater Plus is proud to be the catering service provider for Heinz Wattie’s, a Hastings based producer of frozen and packaged fruit, vegetables, sauces, baby food, cooking sauces, dressings and pet foods.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Cook to join our teams based at both the Heinz Watties King Street and Tomoana sites. This is a casual position to cover other staff when away.

In this position you will be carrying out food preparation, cooking, baking, reheating, serving customers, keeping the site clean.

To be successful you will need:
• a passion for food and enjoy working with customers to keep them coming back for more
• previous experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
• experience in making delicious cabinet food and sandwiches
• experience in café and cafeteria style food services
• to be friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
• to be confident to work unsupervised and resolve any problems that arise
• to be able to operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile, and cash-up at end of shift
• maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
• great communication skills and a can-do attitude.
