Catering Assistant- Aparangi Village, Te Kauwhata

Monday, Tuesday and Sunday 1:00pm till 9:30pm
Friday and Saturday 7:00am till 3:30pm

We are seeking a reliable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and making their day by serving amazing meals.

Aparangi Village is a unique lifestyle retirement village in the rural township of Te Kauwhata that caters for the care unit and village residents. The successful candidates will need to be compassionate and warm, and able to work with respect for, and in support of, the home’s mission and values.

What you will do:
- be friendly and engaging with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude,
- support our team by keeping the kitchen clean and doing dishes,
- be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays,
- be able to follow instructions to prepare and serve delicious and wholesome meals,
- be an exceptional team player who is able to take responsibility and work unsupervised,
- have a practical understanding of New Zealand Food Control and Safety Regulations,
- have good time management skills.
