Catering Assistant / Barista – Auckland City Police Hub, Auckland

• Permanent Part-Time Position | 22.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 10:00am
• Immediate Start Available

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Catering Assistant / Barista to join our team at the Auckland City Police Hub Café. This early-morning role is perfect for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, making great coffee, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy café environment.

You'll play an important role in ensuring police staff have access to quality food, beverages, and service to start their day right.

To be successful in this role, you will:
• Prepare and serve barista-made coffee and beverages
• Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service
• Maintain café cleanliness and food safety standards
• Support daily café operations and customer service requirements
• Assist with food deliveries and stock collection when required
• Lift and carry boxes and supplies up to 15kg
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude

What we're looking for:
• Previous café, hospitality, catering, or barista experience
• Confident preparing espresso coffee and serving customers
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
• A strong work ethic and willingness to help where needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Physically able to undertake occasional deliveries and lifting requirements
• A commitment to food safety, hygiene, and excellent customer service

Additional Requirements:
• Successful applicants must be able to pass a Police Vetting process
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
