Catering Assistant – Coffee Infusion, Palmerston North

Permanent 25 hours per week| Monday to Friday: 4:30am – 10:00am

Cater Plus is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our Coffee Infusion café team. This is a permanent role with consistent early morning hours, ideal for someone who enjoys having their afternoons free.

To be successful in this role you will be warm and engaging with a can-do attitude and friendly nature. You will work alongside our Chef to support preparing and serving outstanding café style food and coffee for our customers and keep them coming back for more.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and serving café style food and beverages
• Providing friendly and efficient customer service
• Operating EFTPOS and POS systems accurately
• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Maintaining cleanliness of the café, kitchen, and service areas
• Completing dishes and general café duties
• Following all food safety and hygiene standards

To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have a warm, friendly, and customer focused approach
• Enjoy working early mornings in a café environment
• Be reliable, punctual, and well organised
• Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Barista experience is an advantage but not essential
