Catering Assistant - Fonterra Hautapu

• 14 hours per week | Saturdays & Sundays (with occasional weekday shifts as required)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our café team at Fonterra Hautapu in the Waikato.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with food, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a supportive team. The role is primarily based on weekends, with additional weekday shifts available when cover is required.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Assisting with food preparation and presentation
• Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Preparing hot and cold beverages, including coffees
• Operating Eftpos and POS systems
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Keeping the café and kitchen areas clean, tidy, and well-presented
• Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the café

What We're Looking For:
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Previous hospitality or café experience is preferred but not essential
• Confidence interacting with customers
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A team player who is willing to help where needed
• Basic computer skills
• Reliability and flexibility to assist with occasional weekday shifts when required
