Catering Assistant - Fonterra Lichfield

40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm)
Fixed term contract May to August 2025 to cover shut down period.

We are on the hunt for a reliable individual for our café located on site at the Fonterra factory in Lichfield, a rural settlement midway between Putaruru and Tokoroa in the South Waikato District.

The café at this site is open from 6am until 2pm daily and the exact hours of work will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

What you’ll do:
- support the Chef Manager with food preparation and baking, including breakfast and lunch options as well as sweet and savoury cabinet items
- serve café style food to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machine with a smile
- move and manage stock
- clean and do dishes
- provide cover for the Chef Manager when needed

Who you are:
- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in cooking and baking, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- have experience in café and cafeteria style food service
