Catering Assistant – Griffins Papakura, Auckland

Monday to Friday (2:30pm – 9:00pm)
30 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arrived for a passionate and hands on Catering Assistant who is ready for a new challenge.

Cater Plus is the proud catering service provider for Griffins Snacks, Papakura, manufacturer of many iconic Kiwi biscuits. Our onsite café will cater for up to 400 production and distribution staff on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone with a great work ethic, amazing customer service and who has a passion for food, just as much as we do. You will be responsible for cooking the main meal of the day and serving hot snacks and producing cold cabinet items. The cold cabinet will be filled with a variety of daily salads, wraps, paninis, modern style sandwiches, vegetarian stacks. The level of expectation we are searching for is an offering similar to a modern streetside café.

This is a sole charge position, so we require someone that is comfortable serving and building relationships with the factory employees.

This position requires a Catering Assistant who can:
• Cook a main meal of the day
• Prepare and display great cabinet food.
• Monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Operation of POS and cashing up at the end of night shift
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
• Demonstrate great communication skills
• Show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude
