Catering Assistant – Howick Baptist Aged Care, Auckland

Full time 32 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 4:30am till 1:00pm

We have an opportunity for a courteous and reliable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and making their day by serving amazing meals. This rewarding position is based at the Howick Baptist Home and Hospital in Auckland and training will be provided.

To be successful in this role you will be warm and engaging with a can-do attitude and friendly nature. You will join a team dedicated to preparing and serving outstanding food and coffee for our senior customers and keep them coming back for more.

The ideal candidate will:
- be friendly and engaging with a committed, can-do attitude.
- support our talented chefs by keeping the kitchen clean, general kitchen duties and doing dishes.
- make sandwiches and other food as directed by the chef as well as help plate meals.
- be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- be able to follow instructions to prepare the dining room and serve the evening meals.
- be an exceptional team player who is able to take responsibility and work unsupervised,
- have a practical understanding of New Zealand Food Control and safety regulations,
- have good time management skills.
