Catering Assistant, Matamata

Part time Permanent Position

We are on the lookout for a passionate Catering assistant who is eager to showcase their culinary skills and provide exceptional customer service to the 25 residents plus meals on wheels recipients at our facility in Matamata.

We have a part-time opportunity available for a Catering Assistant to support our team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is flexible and available to work various shifts on a 7-day roster. This position requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week.

The ideal candidates will:
• Support our talented chefs with food preparation and baking, as well as setting up trolleys for meal service.
• Assist with meal service, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and handle dishwashing duties.
• Be able to work safely in a kitchen environment that involves large, hot pots and trays.
• Engage comfortably with residents on-site while providing service.
• Be an exceptional team player with a flexible, committed, and can-do attitude.
• Demonstrate resilience and the ability to work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment.
• Be available to cover for staff members when they are on leave.
