28.5 Hours (Wednesday – Friday 2.30pm – 7.30pm, Saturday and Sunday -7am to 3.00pm)

We are seeking a reliable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and making their day by serving amazing meals. This rewarding role is perfect for someone looking for short week allowing more time for family and friends.

Ons Dorp is a Retirement and Lifestyle Village with a Dutch flavour that caters for the care centre and village residents. The successful candidate will need to be compassionate and warm, and able to work with respect for and in support of the home’s mission and values.

What you will do:
- be friendly and engaging with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude,
- support our talented chefs by keeping the kitchen clean and doing dishes,
- be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays,
- be able to follow instructions to prepare and serve delicious and wholesome meals.
- be an exceptional team player who is able to take responsibility and work unsupervised.
- have a practical understanding of New Zealand Food Control and Safety Regulations.
- have good time management skills.
