Catering Assistant - Taumarunui

We are currently looking for a Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role where you will assist with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. You will support the team in delivering meals that make a positive difference to residents’ daily lives.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with food preparation and meal service
• Serving meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner
• Dishwashing and cleaning duties
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Supporting the cook and wider team as required

To be successful in this role you will:
• Be reliable and able to follow instructions
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Be a team player with good communication skills
• Take pride in cleanliness and food safety standards
• Be able to work rostered shifts (including weekends if required)
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage, but not essential
