Catering Assistant with Barista Skills – Manukau Police Station, Auckland

Fixed term position available from 19th March 2026 until 23rd September 2026
Full time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 2:00pm.

We’re looking for a reliable and energetic Catering Assistant to join our team at the Manukau Police Station Café. In this role, you’ll help prepare meals, serve customers, and ensure everything runs smoothly in the café and kitchen each day.

What you’ll be doing:
• Prepare and serve meals in the café, including sandwiches and plated dishes
• Make coffee’s confidently (barista experience is an advantage, but not essential)
• Operate EFTPOS and POS machines with a friendly attitude
• Help keep the kitchen and café clean, including general kitchen duties and dishes
• Work as a reliable and supportive team member, staying calm under pressure
• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive, can-do approach
• Interact with customers in a friendly way, helping them enjoy their experience

• Ability to confidently make coffee and assist with basic café duties

• Energetic and able to handle a busy café environment
