Chef - Kerikeri Retirement Village, Kerikeri

Kerikeri Retirement Village is a charitable organisation and home to 66 residents living in our accredited residential care facility. The village provides three levels of care across our wings: hospital-level care, rest home care, and specialist dementia care.

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at Kerikeri Retirement Village.

About the Role
As our Chef, you will:
• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
• Plan and deliver menus in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards
• Manage daily kitchen operations and food production
• Ensure food is presented to a high standard and served on time
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Support and guide kitchen team members as required
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety requirements
• Contribute to creating a positive dining experience for residents

What We're Looking For
• Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• A passion for preparing quality food and delivering excellent service
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, positive, and professional approach
• Experience in aged care, healthcare, or retirement village catering is advantageous but not essential
