We’re searching for a talented Chef Manager to take charge of our food service at the Fonterra Research & Development Centre in Palmerston North — one of New Zealand’s most innovative and influential food science hubs. As Chef Manager, you will oversee and elevate the daily food service to internal staff, while also delivering high-level catering for VIP visitors, including international guests, diplomats, ministers, and senior leaders across the industry. Your food will not only nourish — it will represent New Zealand’s world-class quality on a global stage.

You will be actively involved in all aspects of culinary operations — from creative menu design to hands-on cooking and high-end presentation. Your offering will reflect the quality and sophistication of a modern, innovative café with an international flair.

Daily service will include:
• A cabinet stocked with fresh, modern selections such as vibrant salads, gourmet sandwiches, wraps, paninis, vegetarian dishes, and seasonal specialties.
• A thoughtfully crafted lunch menu
• Polished and creative function options
• Finely crafted barista-quality coffee
• Overseeing the maintenance of coffee stations, vending, and other day-to-day food service requirements across the site.
