Chef - Resthaven Kitchen, Cambridge

• Permanent Position - 40 hours per week (across Monday to Sunday)
• Shifts range from 6am - 2:30pm and 9am - 5:30pm.

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team at Resthaven Kitchen in Cambridge on a permanent full-time basis.

Our kitchen provides meals for approximately 135 residents across two Resthaven sites, supporting a range of aged care needs, including a dedicated dementia unit. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a team that delivers nutritious, high-quality meals that residents look forward to every day.

About the Role:
• Working with a set menu and as part of a supportive kitchen team, you will be responsible for:
• Preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome meals
• Monitoring food quality throughout preparation and service
• Adapting meals to meet a range of dietary requirements
• Working collaboratively with managers and kitchen staff
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Supporting and mentoring other kitchen team members
• Operating confidently as the sole Chef on duty when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will:
• Have previous Chef experience, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or senior living environments
• Have a strong understanding of food safety and Food Control Plan requirements
• Be passionate about preparing nutritious, quality meals
• Have excellent communication and time management skills
• Be reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Bring a positive, friendly, and can-do attitude to work each day
