Chef – TWOA (Te Rapa & Glenview), Hamilton
Full Time – 40 hours per week
Educational contract – 42 weeks per year

Cater Plus is proud to support Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWOA) in Hamilton, and we're looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team.
Based across the Te Rapa and Glenview campuses, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving quality food for students, staff, and café customers while helping create an enjoyable dining experience. This role also requires transporting food between campuses, making a full driver licence essential.
What you'll do:
• Prepare, cook, and present fresh, high-quality meals and café offerings
• Support the day-to-day operation of the campus café and student food services
• Plan and prepare food to meet menu, quality, and dietary requirements
• Transport food and supplies safely between TWOA Hamilton campuses
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food wastage
• Deliver friendly, professional service to students, staff, and visitors
Who you are:
• An experienced Chef with a passion for great food and customer service
• Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver licence
• Comfortable driving between sites to transport food and supplies
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
• A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Confident working in a fast-paced café and catering environment
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
