Cook – Henderson Police Station
Full time Permanent Position 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cook to join our team at the Henderson Police Station Café. In this role, you’ll be preparing and serving meals in a café setting for police staff, ensuring everyone starts their day with delicious food. You don’t need formal chef qualifications, as you’ll be working to a set menu, with all recipes and training provided.

This role is perfect for someone with experience in preparing, cooking, and plating meals in a home, community, or café setting, who enjoys creating positive dining experiences for others.

To be successful you will need to:

• Prepare, cook, and serve sweet and savoury meals
• Follow provided recipes and maintain high-quality presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with dietary requirements, food safety, and hygiene regulations
• Support the smooth running of the kitchen, including time management and supervising staff if needed
• Deliver excellent service with a friendly, engaging, and flexible approach

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in cooking and serving café cabinet food items, including baking and daily main meals as well as al-a-carte style food offering.
• Understanding of food control regulations and dietary requirements
• Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• A passion for creating great meals and making a positive difference for those you serve
