Dual Weekend Cook & Catering Assistant – Aged Care, Kapiti Coast

- Permanent 32 hours per week
- Catering Assistant: Thursday & Friday 7am-3.30pm
- Weekend Cook: Saturday & Sunday 8.30am-5pm

We are looking for a reliable, energetic cook with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our kitchen team at Coastal Villas Retirement Village, in the heart of the Kapiti Coast. Help us deliver exceptional food service and make a real difference in the lives of our residents!

Weekend Cook Role
As a Cook, you will:
* Prepare and serve meals while considering dietary requirements and allergies
* Work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays
* Take responsibility for your section and work sole charge when required
* Demonstrate excellent time management and teamwork
* Bring a friendly, engaging attitude to brighten residents’ days

Catering Assistant Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will:
* Support the chef with meal preparation and service for 75 residents
* Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free kitchen environment
* Deliver meals to villa residents and assist in the café
* Help out with dishes, rubbish removal, and general kitchen cleaning

What we’re looking for
* Ability to work safely in a busy, industrial kitchen
* Flexible, committed, and team-oriented attitude
* Resilient under pressure and willing to assist with functions or on-call cover shifts
* Previous kitchen experience preferred, but full training is provided for motivated individuals
