Fixed-Term Chef - Craighead Diocesan School Boarding House, Timaru

• Fixed Term: Sunday 11 October 2026 to Thursday 10 December 2026
• 40 hours per week
o Sunday 10:00am - 7:30pm
o Monday to Thursday 1:00pm - 9:00pm

Are you a passionate Chef who enjoys creating nutritious, delicious meals and being part of a supportive team? We are looking for a dedicated Chef to join our team at Craighead Diocesan School Boarding House in Timaru on a fixed term agreement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a boarding school environment where you will play an important role in providing quality meals for students and staff. Working alongside a close-knit team, you'll help create a positive dining experience while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and food safety.

What you'll be doing:
• Preparing and cooking nutritious, appetising meals for students and staff.
• Assisting with menu preparation and meal planning.
• Catering for a range of dietary requirements and special requests.
• Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards.
• Managing food preparation and kitchen operations efficiently.
• Supporting a positive team culture and contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen.

What we're looking for:
• Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment.
• A passion for preparing high-quality food.
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude.
