Operations Manager - Auckland

Cater Plus have an exciting and varied opportunity for a leader in contract catering who is ready to use their skills creatively to help Cater Plus stamp our mark in the Auckland area.

In this role you will:
• Manage the Operations support team, coordinating their time and managing their day-to-day performance.
• Be responsible to drive day to day operations of 4 sites while working in partnership with the General Manager of Operations (Auckland) to implement development strategies and foster an engaged workforce.
• Run the large function catering portfolio, which includes two food trucks, whilst actively promoting Cater Plus and seek out new business opportunities.

This is a multifaceted role which requires someone who can think on their feet, be adaptive and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We need someone who is commercial, financially savvy, and customer focused with strong stakeholder management. Experience in the catering industry is essential as you will need the ability to develop your team, identify opportunities, effectively plan your time, and organise in partnership with others. You will need to align Operations Support and Site Managers to the company's high standards of service delivery and performance. This role sets the tone and as such your attitude is critical to success.

The ideal candidate will be someone who:
• Has a proven track record in developing working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Displays an understanding of the food service sector and issues important to service delivery and can develop critical internal and external relationships.
• Thinks innovatively about new food trends, design, technology and executes effectively and within the budget guidelines.
• Will have extensive experience in planning, coordinating and executing large scale functions and events to a very high standard.
• Can continually review and monitor budgets/contractual requirements and identify operational developments and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Can create high levels of engagement to drive the performance of teams to deliver outcomes.
• Is able to create a culture of continuous quality, improvement and effective team performance.
