Operations Manager - Bay of Plenty / South Waikato

Cater Plus has an exciting and varied opportunity for a leader in contract catering who is ready to use their skills to help us stamp our mark in the Central North Island. For the right candidate this role offers a chance to show your potential and creativity, and will provide variety and a hands-on position where you get to visit and know your sites, interact with clients and be a champion for Cater Plus.

In this role you will:
• Be responsible for driving day to day operations of a portfolio of kitchens and café’s across the BOP/Waikato regions.
• Work in partnership with the General Manager of Operations and the wider business to implement development strategies and foster an engaged workforce.
• Manage and support the catering for functions whilst actively promoting Cater Plus and seeking out new business opportunities.

This is a multifaceted role which requires someone who can think on their feet, be adaptive and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We need someone who is commercially and financially savvy with a strong customer focus, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Experience in the catering or hospitality industry is essential as you will need to support site managers, understand their business and challenges, resolve problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and get in and roll your sleeves up to assist when necessary.

The ideal candidate will be someone who:
• has a proven track record in developing working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• displays an understanding of the food service sector and issues important to service delivery.
• thinks innovatively about new food trends, design, technology and executes effectively and within the budget guidelines.
• has experience in planning, coordinating, and executing functions and events to a high standard
• can continually review and monitor budgets/contractual requirements, identify operational developments, and provide appropriate recommendations.
• can create high levels of engagement to drive the performance of teams to deliver outcomes.
• is able to create a culture of continuous quality improvement and effective team performance.
