Part time Cook – Terrace View Resthome

(16 hours p/week, Friday & Saturday, 9am–5.30pm)

We are on the lookout for a passionate Cook who would enjoy the opportunity to share their culinary skills with the residents who call Terrace View Resthome in Ashburton home.

To be successful in this role, you need 5 years’ kitchen experience and be comfortable working to a set menu. The role does require a reliable and hardworking individual that prides themself on producing consistently delicious and wholesome meals time and time again.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

- experience preparing, cooking and serving wholesome sweet and savoury food
- an interest in baking
- an understanding of dietary requirements and food control regulations
- experience managing product quality standards and service delivery
- excellent communication skills and a flexible/can-do, committed attitude
- ability to work unsupervised and supervise kitchen staff
- excellent time management skills
- be friendly and engaging and enjoy making the day of residents by serving amazing meals.
