Site Manager - Elizabeth Knox Kitchen, Auckland
A rare opening has arrived at one of our biggest Aged Care Kitchens. We are now recruiting for the Site Manager role at Elizabeth Knox Kitchen in Epsom.
This position requires an experienced Chef/ Manager who can manage a large team in the Kitchen teams, while working closely with the client to meet their expectations.
The team in the kitchen caters for up to 260 residents daily.
The role involves:
• Culinary knowledge and relevant industry and supervisory experience
• Be available as required to cover shifts as required.
• Developing menus to cater for varied dietary requirements
• Preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome food for the residents
• Monitoring quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to implement NZ food control and safety regulations
• Estimating food and labour costs, ordering food supplies, and managing within budget
• Managing product quality standards and service delivery
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
The ideal candidate will:
• Have excellent communication skills and a flexible/can-do, committed attitude
• Be friendly and engaging, with a desire to be a productive and positive member of the team
• Be passionate about good food, and great service
• Have good time management skills, and moderate computer literacy.
