Site Manager – Piki Ki Te Ao – Ōtāhuhu Police Station, Auckland

Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Site Manager to lead our café operation at Piki Ki Te Ao, Ōtāhuhu Police Station. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading from the front.

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the café, managing a small team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service to Police staff and visitors. You will ensure smooth service each morning, creating a welcoming space where customers can start their day with delicious, well-presented food.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational management with hands-on food preparation and service.

To be successful you will need to:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the café’s daily operations
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of fresh, quality food, including catering for functions and events
• Develop and adapt menus to meet varied dietary requirements
• Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Manage staffing, rosters, and team performance
• Estimate and control food and labour costs to meet budget targets
• Manage stock ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand Food Control Plan and Food Safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders on site
• Complete required reporting and administrative tasks accurately and on time

The ideal Candidate will:
• Have proven experience in hospitality leadership or site management
• Be confident working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Be a hands-on chef/leader who enjoys being involved in preparation and service
• Have strong financial and cost-control awareness
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
• Be computer literate and comfortable with basic reporting systems
• Be flexible, proactive, and solutions-focused

Experience working in secure or sensitive environments is advantageous. The successful candidate must be able to meet site-specific security requirements.
