Site Manager - Resthaven on Vogel/Burns, Cambridge

Cater Plus is a locally-owned industry leader looking for a hands-on Chef Manager to run two of our in-house, aged-care kitchens in Cambridge.

This role is responsible for overseeing the food service for 130 residents over two sites and reports to an Operations Manager. You will be a hands-on leader actively involved in the cooking and service of all meals, the day-to-day running of the kitchen, and making our client smile! Enjoy working in a well set up kitchen with an open view area, allowing a personal connection with the residents. There is also a function aspect to this role and a regular treat trolley, giving an opportunity to show off your baking skills.

You will bring the best out of your team as you encourage and lead them to get the job done well, challenge them to improve, as well as work together, value and support each other. In this role you will be responsible for 10 staff members.

The role involves:

Culinary knowledge and relevant industry and supervisory experience
Preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome food for the residents
Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and food control regulations
Achieving legislative and budgetary guidelines
Managing product quality standards and service delivery
Being an exceptional team player
Great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
A flexible, can-do, committed attitude
Regular hours: Sunday to Thursday, 6am – 1.30pm
