Weekend Cook/Chef - Hamilton

We are on the lookout for an experienced Chef or accomplished Cook to support our kitchen at River Ridge Birthing Centre, Hamilton. Two days per week, 9am–5.30pm (preferably Sat/Sun). Here you will take control of the kitchen on the Chef Manager’s days off to produce elevated food that is tasty and well presented. At this site the numbers of patients fluctuate so you will need to be flexible and organised to manage the peaks and troughs. We want to hear from you if you possess knowledge and experience in:

• Preparing, cooking and plating wholesome food,
• Culinary knowledge and relevant industry experience (1-2 years),
• Knowledge of dietary requirements, allergies and food control regulations,
• A keen eye when it comes to presentation and dish design,
• Managing product quality standards and service delivery,
• Being an exceptional team player,
• Running a smooth and efficient kitchen,
• A flexible, can-do, committed attitude,
• Ability to work unsupervised.
