Cleaning Supervisor - Elizabeth Knox Cleaning, Auckland

Monday – Friday (07:00am – 15:30pm) and weekend work if and when required.

We are on the hunt for an experienced cleaning supervisor who can manage a team at one of our largest rest home sites.

Located at Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital in Epsom, you will be close to amenities, nearby public transport and numerous off-street parks – spend less time finding a park or dealing with pesky parking limits/costs.

In this role you will work with your team to ensure areas of the Rest home are sanitary, safe and hazard free for residents. A high level of discretion and compassion is required as you will be entering several common areas, resident rooms and staff facilities.

This is a pivotal role as you will need to show initiative, process great time management skills and lead your team from the front. To be successful you will need to be flexible with your time and hours. You will need great communication skills and have a strong cultural awareness. In this role you will be supported and leading a team of 11 cleaners.

We are looking for a responsible and diligent person who can:

co-ordinate and manage staff to complete daily and unscheduled tasks to a high standard,
work towards and align with business KPI’s,
be actively involved in the onboarding and training of new staff,
process timesheets and paperwork on time and accurately,
manage roster and cover leave if required,
be able to work unsupervised,
ensure sufficient stock supplies are ordered, keeping within a budget,
understand and have an intermediate level of computer literacy,
work hard as a reliable and loyal team player who can stay cool under pressure,
can perform recruitment process,
monitor cleaning chemical supplies and ordering,
be able to do cleaning tasks schedule of the entire rest home hospital,
perform Internal Audit to maintain standards in cleaning.
Daily cleaning tasks are but not limited to:

vacuuming and mopping,
dusting,
disinfecting and cleaning toilet facilities,
cleaning of walls, doors and glass,
on call spot cleaning,
replacement of stock such as toilet paper and emptying of rubbish bins.
This position is a pivotal part of our team and requires an individual with relevant experience and a relevant qualification either in hospitality or a business field.
