Cook – Craighead Diocesan School (Fixed Term)

Friday 1pm - 7.30pm and Saturday 2pm – 7.30pm
Fixed Term 29 April until 30 June (parental leave cover)

Are you an accomplished home cook looking to share your passion and skill with the boarders and staff at Craighead Diocesan School for Girls in Timaru.

This position caters for a hearty home-style two course evening meal for around 20 students who stay in the hostel over the weekend. It requires a reliable individual that shares our passion for food and excellent service, and prides themselves on producing consistently delicious meals time and time again.

With a set menu, you will be a hands-on Cook responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome meals that are nutritionally balanced and freshly produced.

To be successful you need to be able to multitask, have a friendly disposition and enjoy interacting with students and staff.

We are looking for one or two people to share the following shifts (which include a 30 minute unpaid meal break).
- Friday (1pm – 7.30pm);
- Saturday (2pm – 7.30pm)

You will enjoy a modern upgraded kitchen environment, support to be creative with menu ideas and options, and school holidays off. Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement to cover gaps in the roster and provide support for functions.
