Food Safety, Health and Wellbeing Champion - Hamilton Hub

Are you passionate about Food Safety with a successful track record in fostering and supporting a proactive safety culture that encourages personal responsibility?

We are seeking our next Safety and Wellbeing Champion to provide advice, training and promote a collaborative approach that encourages continuous improvement across the business. The role will include leading food safety initiatives and provide advice on best practice that is proactive, progressive and in line with legislative requirements.

In this position you will:
- Be our expert on food safety across the business
- Manage our food safety management system, Safe Food Pro, and ensure information is maintained and reviewed
- Provide sound guidance, feedback, and direction in all food safety and safety and wellbeing matters
- Promote and encourage continuous improvement through the application of initiatives and education/information.
- Monitor and report on key health and food safety metrics and trends
- Identify risk and take action to minimise or escalate with appropriate mitigation where necessary
- Create action plans, policies, and procedures to ensure that workplaces conform with organisational procedures and safety standards
- Assist with preparation of internal reviews and external verifications.
- Coordinate and support our Health and Safety Representatives.

This position is full time and comes with a company vehicle and fuel allowance, as travel to sites across the country will be required. With support offices in both Hamilton and Auckland we would consider applicants based at either location.
