Talent Team Lead - Auckland

The Role:
We are creating a new team within Cater Plus which needs a leader. Based in Auckland this Talent lead will have experience in the culinary world as a chef but will thrive on managing a team of skilled, hospitality experts who bring their talents to 29 establishments in the region. This ranges from Private Hospitals, Age Care Facilities, high end corporate Cafes and wholesome workplace canteens.

The key quality required here – A can do attitude! This role needs someone who is flexible, can think on their feet and can roll up their sleeves and jump into the kitchen to support where needed. You and your team will support the introduction of new sites to our family and during the function season will wow our clients and customers with top-notch catering. Great communication and understanding of corporate catering are an advantage for this position.

To get the job done right, you will need to right tools. To aid in this you will have control of our equipment room, a van and caravan that can be towed to the different sites. An ability to lift heavy equipment and tow the caravan are a must here.

• have supervisory experience and demonstrated success in managing to budget

• be organised and able to manage time effectively across multiple priorities
• have good interpersonal and teamwork skills, and a flexible can-do attitude
• be able to problem solve in a calm and responsive manner
• have culinary knowledge and relevant industry experience, including dietary requirements, food control regulations, and menu planning
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisines, cabinet items and corporate fork and walk canapes.
• Create and adapt menus to cater for varied dietary requirements.
• Pride yourself on serving safe food following The Food Control Plan (we use Safe Food Pro)
• Promote and lead a healthy and safe work environment.
• Engage with a desire to be a productive and positive member of our family
