Catering Assistant (Casual) - Hastings

We have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our cafe team providing catering services to staff working on this Hastings based site.

This is a casual position working as and when required to support the team and take the pressure off on those particularly busy days, or to cover staff on leave. Operating weekdays, early until late, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable to provide cover where and when needed.

What you’ll do:
- support the team with food prep and basic cooking/baking
- keep the kitchen clean and do dishes
- move and manage stock
- serve café style food to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machines with a smile

Who you are:
- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- utilise great communication skills and a can-do attitude
