Site Manager - Bluebird Cafe, Wiri

Looking for a job in South Auckland? An exciting opportunity has arrived for a passionate and hands on Chef Manager who is ready for a new challenge.

We are a passionate bunch who enjoy delivering great food and even better service and so we are looking for someone who feels the same! A rarity in hospitality, enjoy working 40 hours: Monday – Friday (6am to 14.30pm) with weekends and public holidays off to do as you wish.

In this role you will be a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of food, as well as the day-to-day running of the cafe. You must have great organizational and communication skills to manage and oversee the café. Your ability to manage and develop your staff and build great relationships with the Client will make you suitable for this role. Being able to control food and labour costs within budget, as well as your creativity and eye for presentation and regular theme days will see you on the road to success in this position.

This position requires a chef with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience, who can:
• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisine
• Monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Create menus to cater for a varied clientele and dietary requirements
• Manage and organise functions
• Manage food and labour costs within budget
• Discuss food preparation issues with managers and kitchen staff
• Implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
• Demonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
• Show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude
